Mourne Sprint Triathlon

This race saw competitors swim in Castlewellan lake, cycle to Katesbridge and back and finish with a run round the lake.

Stephen McCamley 95th in 1hr 34mins 750m swim 26.02mins (T1 2.03mins) 20k cycle 38.34mins (T2 1.51mins) 5k run 25.33mins

Marie Sweet 158th in 1hr 46mins 750 swim 23.18mins (T1 3.46mins) 20k cycle 51 mins (T2 2.14mins) 5k run 25.45mins

Very well done to the 2 Dubs on their achievement especially since they both swam, cycled and ran more than the distances above

Slieve Donard

Meanwhile on a mountain not too far from Castlewellan, Claire Tonry took on the Slieve Donard Race with navigation skills and knowledge of the 10k course required with a very rocky descent not for the faint hearted. Antrim Coast Half Marathon

Sunday saw the long awaited Antrim Coast ½ marathon where the womens world record was broken. A great atmosphere, a lovely scenic course and lots of Dubs breaking their own PBs.
