Weekly Roundup 12/07/2021
Hi and welcome to results roundup for the past week consisting of a Downpatrick 5k and Parkruns.
Friday evening saw Co Down 5k NI & Ulster Championships around Downpatrick town centre. Competitors had 7 laps of the course and if you didn’t get dizzy a quick time could be in store on the flat, fast course broken up into 3 races. One Dub, Stevie McCamley, made the trip down and completed race 1 in a time of 21.05 minutes in 5th place and just a couple of seconds behind Olympic boxer Paddy Barnes. Yet another great time from Stevie for 5k.

Well done to all runners and volunteers at the weekend.
In race news Dublin marathon has sadly been cancelled again as by all accounts it is a fantastic event. On the back of that Belfast marathon quickly sold out.
The Antrim Coast half marathon on 29th August still has places available on its website https://antrimcoasthalfmarathon.com/enter-race/ if anyone is interested. This is the race Mo Farah won last year
Finally well done to Dermot Dawson on winning the club raffle for the spot in the London marathon, I’m sure he will do the Dubs proud at the event.
Thanks, Fra
