Weekly Roundup 05/07/2021
Hi and welcome to results roundup for the past week consisting of Parkruns, the Larne 10k and an ultra.
Saturday morning saw Larne AC host their new coastal 10k. Starting at Ballygally and running 5k out towards Glenarm and back again. Advertised as fast and flat promising PBs it didn’t fail to deliver. 6 Dubs made the trip up evenly split between the 9.30am and 10.40am start times.
First Dub past the post was Alastair King in 209th place in a time of 42.06 mins. |
Next was Ciaran Harris (214th) in a time of 42.21 mins and a new PB. |
Then Fra McKenna (343rd) in a time of 47.27 mins and a new PB |
The later start saw the 3 ladies giving it their best

Sunday saw the Slieve Gullion Ultra and Katherine Harkness completed the 63½ k distance in an amazing 6 hours 54 minutes in 3rd place and was also first female over the line. Another incredible achievement by the Dubs ultra queen.
