Weekly Roundup 01/08/2021
Hi and welcome to results roundup for the past week with some race to report on and the Parkruns
The races started early this week as on Monday night David Kelly took part in North Belfast Harriers AC Night of Friendly 5000m races at Boys Model track. David ran in race 3 and finished 9th in a very respectable time of 19.16 mins. Well done David
Saturday, in the sunnier climes of Co. Westmeath, Kate Moffett took on the Celtic Warrior half ironman challenge at the Lilliput Adventure centre. 2000m swim, 90k cycle followed by a half marathon Kate finished 23rd, 3rd female and completed the course in 5 hours 33.54 mins- an incredible achievement and very well done Kate
Claire Tonry then did the half marathon at the same location fininshing 1st in 1hour 29.30 mins. Another great run. Well done Claire.
Meanwhile over in Reading, Dave Phillips was competing in the 50k Round Reading Ultra. The course was run over various terrain including flat river and canal towpaths, woodland trails and country lanes and paths. Dave finished in 166th place in 6 hours 33.45 mins. Excellent run Dave

Well done all runners and volunteers at the weekend
After all that was done the Dubs ultra queen Katherine Harkness attempted the Montalto 12 hr night challenge. Running from 7pm Saturday to 7am Sunday, Katherine completed 23 loops with a total of 103.5KM. The club will be doing a volunteer takeover at Knockbracken Parkrun on August 21st.
