When did you start running?
Started running end 1986 wearing an old pair of leather shoes! I joined the Dubs in 1987 and have never looked back having made so many friends along the way.
Why did you start running?
I did’t do any exercise with a busy job and 4 young daughters. I have a friend, Sue Farmer, who was already a runner and I was so impressed by what she did.
What is a typical training week for you?
If at all possible I go to the Dub training on Tuesdays and Thursdays, parkrun and Sunday run.
What is your favourite Dub training session?
Belvoir Sunday run is my favourite. Good for a catch up and it is always daylight.
What has been your favourite race(s) to take part in?
London marathon 1988. A big Dub crowd went over including Maureen Oliver. No timing chips in those days so I had to take 5 minutes off my official time. Clonakillty half has a great atmosphere and very friendly.
What are you running goals?
My only goal is to keep running. Too old for any time goals.
Tell us something random about yourself that people might not know!
My mother escaped Berlin as a child on the kinder transport. Also, I lived in Sri Lanka ( then Ceylon) from age 3 to 11.
